Youth and Teen Services

We have a dedicated Teen Room at the main library in Baker City with a robust Young Adult collection including fiction, graphic novels and manga. 

Reference, Computer & General Assistance

Front desk library staff are available to help with general tasks. For more in-depth research assistance, please contact us to schedule an appointment. 

One-on-one tutorials for computer assistance (up to 30 min.) may also be scheduled with our in-house IT expert. Call 541-523-6419.

Outreach Activities

Every other week our intrepid Bookmobile travels to off-the-beaten path areas of Baker County including Keating, Unity, Oxbow, and more. We also visit assisted-living centers in Baker City.

The Library's Collection

Our collection is huge, numbering over 160,000 volumes of books, magazines, music CDs, movies and documentary films, newspapers, historical photographs, and more.  Our downloadable catalog, Library2Go, has another 50,000 items including e-books and audiobooks.

Community Spaces in the Library

Baker City branch library spaces include:

  • Riverside Meeting Room -- for small and large groups up to about 40 people. Also available after hours.
  • Archive & Quiet Study Rooms -- for individual or small groups up to 6
  • Garden & Lighthouse Rooms -- for individual or small groups up to 4
