Dynamic new computer added for toddlers with support of Friends group
The ALA announced this week the awards for the year’s best books for children and young adults.

Baker County Library is offering free training sessions in October on use of Library2Go, its “virtual library” service which allows patrons to download to e-books, audiobooks, and videos to their PC, Mac®, and many mobile devices.
The long-awaited launch of Kindle® compatibility was launched by Overdrive, our Library2Go vendor, on Wednesday Sep 21 2011. Over 10,000 Kindle format eBooks are now available.
The library's Sage Evergreen Catalog (SageCat) will be unavailable all day on Monday, 5/16/2011 due to a planned system upgrade.
Friday Literary Night is a free monthly event in Baker City, beginning at 7:00pm and open to all ages. It is located at Crossroads Carnegie Arts Center, 2020 Auburn Ave in Baker City and sponsored by Betty’s Books, the Writers Guild of Eastern Oregon and the Baker County Library District.
