DOZEN+ NEW BOOKS in VIRTUAL REFERENCE LIBRARY! - July 10, 2009

New Online Resources

Over a dozen new titles are now added to the Gale Virtual Reference Library collection.

These online resources are available to Baker County Library patrons at any hour of the day/night, from any library branch or from anywhere in the world for that matter.

New titles were selected with an eye toward students, small business owners, campers, fishermen & fisherwomen, and the general public needing legal information.
FOR ACCESS, CLICK THE ‘Gale Virtual Reference Library’ BUTTON TO THE RIGHT OF THE CALENDAR on the library homepage. Your Baker Co. Library card number is required for authentication.

All titles are easily cross-searchable. A keyword search is great for finding both specific and related information on your topic. Now, you can find authoritative answers to such questions as:

  • How do I cook “Rosemary Lemon Chicken” in a dutch oven?
  • How do I tie a “Crawford Knot” on my fishing line?
  • How do I make a “Goddard Caddis” fishing fly lure?
  • What is an “Empowerment Zone” or “Right-to-Know (RTK) laws” & how do they affect my small business?
  • How is a Stetson Hat, toothpaste, or spandex made?
  • How were “crow’s feet” used as weapons in ancient wars?
  • What questions do I need to ask before retaining a lawyer?
